Laura Coltofean-Arizancu
I am a Romanian/Hungarian archaeologist whose research is an intersection of various fields, such as the history of archaeology, gender archaeology, museum studies, women’s studies, heritage studies, and cultural studies. Since 2018, I am co-chair of the Archaeology and Gender in Europe (AGE) Community of the European Association of Archaeologists. Currently, I am a DAAD Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Römisch–Germanische Kommission (RGK) of the German Archaeological Institute, where I am carrying out a research project on knowledge transmission and exchange between German and Hungarian archaeological actors in the 20th and 21st centuries. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher on the Artsoundscapes ERC Advanced Grant project at the University of Barcelona (2018-2020), and a museum curator at the Brukenthal National Museum in Sibiu, Romania (2012-2018).
Within the ECA Community, I deal with developing crowdfunding campaigns for the community’s projects, as well as with aspects concerning gender equity and equality, discrimination, diversity, and inclusiveness in the trajectories of early career researchers.
