Benjamin Irvine
I am a bioarchaeologist who specialises in utilising osteological, archaeological, and stable isotope analyses to examine human-environment interactions, dietary habits, subsistence practices, agricultural strategies, and mobility patterns of ancient populations in Anatolia and neighbouring regions. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Bilkent University (Ankara, Türkiye) as well as an Honorary Research Fellow of the BIAA (British Institute at Ankara).
I was one of the early ECA members and now support the community in a more advisory role.
